Former Nigerian presidential candidate, Rabi'u Kwankwaso of the NNPP, refuted claims of defeat in the 2027 general elections, stating that those suggesting such outcomes are in denial. In an interview with BBC Hausa, Kwankwaso expressed confidence in the transparency of the electoral process and the influence of the NNPP's Kwankwasiyya movement in Nigerian politics, especially in the North.

He emphasized a shift towards youth-driven and service-oriented politics, believing that electoral malpractice will not determine the results in 2027.
