Momodu Claims Atiku Has More Experience Than Tinubu

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserted that President Bola Tinubu's experience is primarily confined to Lagos, which he believes has led to an underestimation of the complexities of governing Nigeria. In contrast, he argued that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar possesses greater experience to manage the country's affairs, especially as Atiku is the ADC's presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Momodu made these remarks during an interview on Eagle 102.5 FM in Ilese-Ijebu. He emphasized Atiku's long political career, recalling his participation in the 1992 presidential primary of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) against MKO Abiola, where he stepped down gracefully.

Momodu highlighted Atiku's role as a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party and his tenure as vice-president under Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007. He compared Atiku's extensive federal experience with Peter Obi's governance of Anambra State, questioning the economic performance of Tinubu's administration and suggesting that the current economic challenges indicate Tinubu's unsuitability for another term.
