Uzodinma's Remarks Threaten Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

The Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Youth Network has accused Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma of attempting to undermine President Bola Tinubu's re-election efforts for the 2027 general election. This accusation follows Uzodinma's declaration after a meeting of the Progressives Governors Forum in Abuja, where he stated that APC governors had not entered into any formal agreements with individuals or opposition parties regarding the upcoming elections.

The group, in a statement signed by Olu Segun, argued that Tinubu's support base includes various political parties and grassroots movements beyond the APC. They expressed concern that Uzodinma's comments could damage the President's broader political coalition, especially at a time when support across party lines is crucial.

The group cited the Rainbow Coalition associated with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as evidence of this support and warned that dismissing such alliances could alienate political actors willing to collaborate with the President.
