APC Chairman Yilwatda Expects More Governors to Join Party for 2027 Elections

The National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, expressed confidence in more state governors defecting to the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. Yilwatda made this statement during an expanded stakeholder meeting endorsing President Bola Tinubu in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

He highlighted the performance of President Tinubu in attracting opposition leaders to the APC, leaving the door open for more defections. Yilwatda referenced governors like Sheriff Oborevwore of Delta State and Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State who recently joined the APC, supporting Tinubu's bid.

He emphasized the party's welcoming stance towards governors, senators, and House of Representatives members with integrity and output.
