PDP's Shehu Bawa Urges Kaduna Residents to Reject APC

Shehu Usman Bawa, the governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, called on residents to vote out the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) due to its failure to prioritize community welfare. Speaking at his campaign office, Bawa emphasized that the PDP is mobilizing voters for a change in government, advocating for a governance approach that involves communities in determining development priorities.

He criticized the APC for focusing on projects that do not address the immediate needs of residents, such as potable water and healthcare. Bawa pledged to tackle insecurity, stating that residents should be able to farm and conduct business without fear of attacks.

He proposed a proactive security strategy and mentioned that the PDP has engaged security consultants to develop this plan. Bawa dismissed claims from the APC regarding the opposition's strength, asserting that the PDP's grassroots structure remains intact despite defections after the 2023 elections.
