23 Million Nigerians Affected by Eye Problems, Urgent Government Action Needed

Adedayo Adelanwa, a stakeholder in the health sector, revealed that 23 million Nigerians are currently suffering from eye problems, emphasizing the significant impact on the country's economy. Adelanwa stressed the need for the government to address this issue by providing basic plans and treatments.

Lead Optometrist Richard Ojeme highlighted refractive errors and glaucoma as major causes of vision impairment in Nigeria. The Ade Ti De Development Initiative conducted a free medical outreach, aiming to treat and provide eyeglasses to affected individuals.

The initiative aligns with the global goal of eradicating avoidable blindness by 2040.
