Nigerian Military Rescues 24 Abducted Schoolgirls Without Ransom

Nigerian security forces rescued 24 schoolgirls abducted by bandits in Kebbi State. The girls were taken from their hostel by armed attackers, who were later identified as using the girls as human shields in the forest of Zamfara State.

Governor Nasir Idri confirmed the rescue without any ransom paid. President Bola Tinubu commended the efforts that led to the successful operation.

Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga disclosed the intensification of security operations to ensure the release of Nigerian captives. The military's delicate rescue operation was crucial in ensuring the girls' safe return.
