Fatima Hassan Becomes Oyo APC Deputy Woman Leader

Fatima Hassan, a 33-year-old former student union leader, has emerged as the deputy woman leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State. Her political journey commenced shortly after she completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, during which she was appointed as a special assistant on student affairs by the late Abiola Ajimobi.

Hassan's political engagement deepened as she contested for the position of state woman leader and subsequently served as the senatorial woman leader for Oyo South over four years, focusing on grassroots mobilization among women across nine local governments. In her statement following her emergence, she expressed profound gratitude to the APC and its leaders for the opportunity to serve, emphasizing her commitment to mobilizing women and strengthening the party's grassroots efforts.

She acknowledged the foundational support from the Ajimobi family and expressed excitement about serving alongside Kemi Opatund, the APC woman leader in Oyo.
