ICPC Receives Petition from Dangote Alleging $5m Corruption in Oil Sector

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has acknowledged receipt of a formal petition from Aliko Dangote's lawyer accusing Farouk Ahmadu, CEO of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), of corrupt financial impropriety and abuse of office related to extravagant spending on his children's education in Switzerland. The petition demands immediate investigation and prosecution.

Dangote alleges that Ahmadu's public sector earnings do not justify his lavish expenditures, contributing to public unrest. The ICPC is urged to take swift action to uphold justice and investigate the claims.
