Kano Indigenous Film Festival to Showcase 616 Films from 77 Countries

The Kano Indigenous Languages of Africa Film Market and Festival (KILAF) will feature 616 films from 77 countries, with Egypt and Nigeria having the highest number of selections. The festival, managed by Move Image Limited, will take place in Kano from November 6 to November 8, 2025.

Abdulkareem Moham, the festival's founder, announced the lineup, which includes films from various genres and countries. Additionally, an entrepreneurship summit for women in media and business will be held as part of the event, aiming to empower 100 women.

The festival also collaborates with Bayero University's Faculty of Communication.
