Dialogue Key to Resolving North-Central Insecurity - Presidential Aide

Dr. Abiodun Essiet, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, highlighted that 70% of the security challenges in North-Central Nigeria can be addressed through dialogue and community engagement.

He emphasized the importance of deploying means anchored in community involvement to resolve crises, promote unity, and empower communities. Essiet referenced the Presidential Community Engagement Peace Initiative launched on June 5 in Jos, Plateau State, as a significant step towards fostering peace and social cohesion in the region.

The initiative aligns with United Nations recommendations and aims to strengthen community peace and cohesion in the North Central.
