Ogun Waterside Caucus Backs Tinubu, APC for 2027 Elections

The Ogun Waterside Progressive Caucus has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections, emphasizing the significance of the proposed $7bn Gateway Deep Sea Port project and various development initiatives. The group, led by convener Olawale Balogun, highlighted projects such as oil exploration, a coastal road, and a N1bn electrification project, which they believe will enhance economic opportunities in the Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.

Balogun expressed confidence that the local government would become a pivotal area under Tinubu's administration. The caucus plans to mobilize 12,000 votes for Tinubu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, House of Representatives candidate Joseph Adegbesan, state Assembly member Samsideen Lawal, and Senator Solomon Adeola.

The sensitization walk, themed “Empowering the Youth, Mobilising the Grassroots: For a Stronger and United Ogun Waterside with APC,” included a distribution of N2m to 100 beneficiaries. The Ogun State Governor's Special Assistant, Olamide Lawal, praised the initiative and urged continued support for youth involvement.
