85 Nigerians Awarded UK Chevening, Commonwealth Scholarships for Higher Education

The UK Government granted 85 Nigerians prestigious Chevening and Commonwealth scholarships to pursue master's and PhD programs in the UK by 2025. Among the recipients, 39 scholars and 1 fellow received Chevening scholarships, while 45 scholars were awarded Commonwealth scholarships.

The British High Commission in Abuja celebrated the scholars' success in a ceremony, emphasizing the competitive selection process. British Deputy High Commissioner Gill Lever expressed pride in the scholars' achievements and highlighted the positive impact of their return to Nigeria.

The scholarships aim to enhance educational opportunities for Nigerians and foster strong ties between the UK and Nigeria.
