98th Oscars: Nigeria Opens Call for Best International Feature Film Submissions

Nigeria has opened submissions for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards. The Nigerian Official Selection Committee (NOSC) announced that Nigerian filmmakers can submit qualifying films between August 13 and September 12, 2025, through the official NOSC portal.

Eligible films must be produced outside the United States, have at least 50% dialogue in English or Nigerian Pidgin English, and include accurate English subtitles. The films must meet technical specifications and have a theatrical release of at least seven consecutive days between December 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025.

The NOSC will select Nigeria's official entry for the Oscars, with the chosen film competing at the prestigious award ceremony in Los Angeles on March 15, 2026, broadcast live in over 200 territories worldwide.
