Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka Shot Dead in Dutsin-Ma Attack

Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka was shot outside his residence in Karambanin Ɗan Abba, Bakin Kasuwa, Dutsin-Ma, on the evening of October 26 while preparing to teach his Almajirai students. His wife, Fatima Yahaya, had accompanied him outside but went back to retrieve a forgotten bag.
She heard four gunshots and discovered her husband had been shot. Adamu Abubakar, a close friend of Sheikh Masussuka, was also killed in the attack, which the police reported involved two armed men on a motorcycle.
The shooting occurred around 7.30 p.m., although neighbor Aliyu Ladan recalled it happening around 8.30 p.m., after the Isha prayer. Ladan witnessed the aftermath and helped transport Masussuka to the hospital, where both he and Abubakar were pronounced dead.
Abdulrahim Sabiu, who was preparing the studio for Masussuka's evening teaching, learned of the shooting and rushed to the hospital, finding both men motionless.
