Abdullahi Warns of Conspiracy Against Opposition Ahead of 2027

Abdullahi has asserted that there is a broader conspiracy aimed at weakening opposition parties in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 elections. He criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for allegedly overstepping its supervisory role regarding political party leadership, claiming that INEC does not have the power to remove party leaders.

Abdullahi referenced a court ruling that maintained the status quo regarding party leadership disputes, specifically mentioning Nafiu Bala's claims against David Mark, who is recognized as the party chairman. He emphasized that Bala's allegations of forgery regarding resignations are baseless and lack credible evidence.

Abdullahi also highlighted the expulsion of Dumebi Kachikwu from the ADC and warned that these actions are part of a coordinated effort to destabilize opposition parties, which could threaten Nigeria's democratic future. He indicated that the ADC plans to appeal to the court to ensure compliance with legal standards and maintain its internal affairs.
