Abia Governor Otti Reveals Political Alignment Ahead of 2027 Elections Amid Uncertainty

Abia State Governor Alex Otti, during a media interaction on January 28, hinted at his political alignment ahead of the 2027 general elections, stating that "No One Knows Tomorrow." He addressed his current party allegiance, emphasizing the uncertainty surrounding his political future. Otti also reviewed his administration's activities, including increasing school enrollment by 300,000 and recruiting approximately 4,000 teachers.

He disclosed plans for digitizing hotel usage through technology. The political landscape in Abia State remains speculative as observers closely monitor Otti's next moves.

Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker, encouraged Otti to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Otti is currently a member of the Labour Party. Additionally, Otti responded to plans by a former governor to sue him in Isialangwa South LGA instead of the state government house.
