Abu Dhabi Green Visa Allows Family Sponsorship for Expats

The Abu Dhabi Residents Office has detailed the family members that holders of the Abu Dhabi Green Visa can sponsor for residence in the emirate. This visa is a self-sponsored long-term residence permit valid for five years, aimed at international talents such as professionals, freelancers, investors, and partners in Abu Dhabi's high-growth sectors.

Green Visa holders can sponsor sons up to the age of 25 and unmarried daughters of any age, which is more inclusive than the standard UAE residence visa. This flexibility allows expatriates to maintain family unity in Abu Dhabi.

The visa targets skilled individuals and provides them with the opportunity to live, work, and invest in the emirate without needing employer sponsorship. However, the Abu Dhabi Residents Office has noted that submission of nomination requests for certain categories is currently unavailable through its portal.
