Accord Party Crisis Deepens in Osun State as Two Governorship Candidates Emerge

The Accord Party in Osun State is embroiled in a crisis as two governorship candidates, Clement Bamigbola and Ademola Adeleke, have emerged from separate factional primaries. The party leadership, led by Maxwell Mgbudem, rejected Bamigbola's candidacy, insisting that only Adeleke is the recognized candidate.

The emergence of two candidates has caused internal division within the party ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election. The primaries were held in Regina Suites, Osogbo, with Olufemi Ogundare declaring Bamigbola as the party's candidate.
