Accord Party Denies Summit Involvement, Threatens Legal Action

The Accord Party, under the leadership of Professor Chri Imumolen, has officially denied any involvement in the opposition summit that took place in Ibadan, Oyo State. The summit included the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by David Mark and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporting Governor Seyi Makinde.

In a statement issued by Muktar Abdallah, the National Secretary of the Accord Party, it was clarified that the party did not authorize the use of its name or symbol at the summit. The statement emphasized that the Accord Party would not engage in any coalition or negotiations with the ADC and PDP, and it raised concerns about the credibility and transparency of the coalition itself.

Imumolen issued a 48-hour ultimatum for those involved to publicly explain the unauthorized use of the party's identity, warning that failure to do so would result in immediate legal action against the individuals or groups responsible.
