Uzor Arukwe's Journey from Etisalat to Nollywood Stardom

Uzor Arukwe, a Nollywood actor, recounted how his termination from Etisalat Nigeria in 2012 served as a pivotal moment in his life, prompting him to pursue a career in acting. At the time, he described being at his lowest point after working hard for a promotion, only to face unexpected job loss.

Following his dismissal, Arukwe struggled with unemployment for a year before returning to the corporate world, where he worked for five years. In 2018, he made the bold decision to quit his job and fully commit to acting, despite facing financial instability and earning as little as 1,000 Naira for some roles.

His perseverance eventually paid off, leading to his debut in "Unspoken Truth" and appearances in notable productions such as "Code Wilo" and "Tribe Called Judah." Arukwe has since received nominations for major awards, including the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards, highlighting his resilience and success in the Nigerian film industry.
