ADC Sets Inauguration Date for New State Executives

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially announced that the inauguration of its newly elected state executives will take place on May 12, 2026. This announcement was made by Bolaji Abdullahi, who congratulated the newly elected officials across the federation.

The ADC held its state congress in various states, including Osun and Anambra, despite facing a crisis due to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) derecognizing its leadership. The party emphasized its commitment to internal democracy and the rule of law, stating that the elections were conducted in accordance with its constitutional provisions.

Abdullahi urged the newly elected executives to remain dedicated to the party's ideals and vision as they prepare to assume office. He expressed confidence that the new leadership would strengthen the party's structure and deepen its connection with citizens nationwide.

The ADC's activities were previously suspended in at least six states following a court appeal judgment regarding factional disputes, but the party is proceeding with state-level polls.
