ADC Names Amaechi as Atiku's VP Candidate for 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially selected former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi as the vice-presidential candidate to partner with Atiku Abubakar for the 2027 presidential elections. The announcement was made in Abuja by ADC's National Public Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, following consultations with party stakeholders and coalition partners.

The ADC aims to unite and offer Nigerians an alternative platform ahead of the next general elections. Amaechi's extensive political experience, including his tenure as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, two terms as Governor of Rivers State, and Minister of Transport under former President Muhammadu Buhari, positions him as a significant asset to the ticket.

The ADC emphasizes that the Amaechi-Abubakar partnership will leverage their combined leadership credentials to address Nigeria's economic and governance challenges.
