ADC Unveils Consensus Plan for 2027 Presidential Candidate Selection

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has revealed plans to prioritize a consensus arrangement for selecting its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. Notable figures like Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Rotimi Amaechi are emerging as frontrunners.

The party aims to strengthen its structure nationwide following formal recognition by INEC. The National Working Committee, led by David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, is overseeing these efforts.

While zoning remains an internal issue, the ADC prefers a consensus approach for candidate selection, with the possibility of primaries if needed. The party is focused on building unity and preparing for the upcoming electoral cycle.
