ADC Critiques Tinubu's Democracy Day Address on Promises

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has responded critically to President Bola Tinubu's Democracy Day address, asserting that Nigerians require tangible results instead of new promises. In a statement from the party's national public secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC emphasized that after three years of Tinubu's administration and eleven years of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rule, the country continues to face significant challenges, including worsening insecurity, high living costs, and unemployment.

Abdullahi pointed out that the president's address failed to address the realities faced by millions of Nigerians, who are struggling with high food prices and transport costs. The ADC accused the administration of repeating unfulfilled promises made since the APC came to power in 2015 and criticized the government's request for patience without delivering results.

The party called for accountability and a focus on the actual benefits of governance rather than mere campaign rhetoric, asserting that Nigerians deserve answers regarding the ongoing hardships.
