Omotosho Drives CNG Adoption in Nigeria's Automotive Sector

Adebola Omotosho is the Managing Director and CEO of Tree Life Autoworld Limited, focusing on advancing Nigeria's automotive industry through the promotion of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. With a background in business administration and extensive experience in the automotive sector, Omotosho has engaged in various training programs to empower 500 youths in the automotive field.

His initiative aligns with the presidential goal of converting one million commercial vehicles to run on CNG, a project that has gained traction since its introduction in 2009. As of now, nearly 200,000 vehicles have been converted, including 500 assigned to the government.

Omotosho emphasizes the economic benefits of CNG over petrol, noting that drivers using CNG take home more money. The initiative has received government support, including free CNG kits for commercial vehicles.

Despite challenges in funding and public perception, Omotosho remains committed to transforming Nigeria's transport sector and enhancing its economic viability.
