Adeleke Heads to U.S. for Davido and Chioma’s Miami Wedding

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has traveled to the United States to attend the upcoming white wedding of his nephew, musician Davido, and his fiancée Chioma Avril Rowland in Miami, Florida later in August. Davido confirmed the event in an interview on the Breakfast Club on April 8, 2025.

In response to questions from the opposition Progressives Congress (APC) about the governor's absence, spokesperson Olawale Rasheed stated that Governor Adeleke left Nigeria for the US via a family private jet a day ago. Rasheed clarified that the governor had taken official leave since assuming office in November 2022 and that this trip would be a short one to attend the wedding.

The statement emphasized that Governor Adeleke is in constant communication with his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, who is overseeing government activities in his absence.
