Adeleke Promises Scholarships for Victims' Children

On [date of the article], Governor Ademola Adeleke was presented with a certificate of return by Prof. Kunle Ajayi, the National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) representing the South-west, following his victory in the Osun State governorship election.

In his address, Adeleke expressed sorrow over the violence that occurred during the election, stating that no political ambition is worth the loss of life. He announced that the Adeleke family, through the Springtime Development Foundation, would provide full scholarships up to university level for the children and dependants of those who lost their lives in the violence.

Additionally, he revealed plans to establish a N500 million Election Violence Victims Endowment Fund to assist verified victims and their families, overseen by a committee chaired by Hon. Adewale Olumide Egbedun.

Adeleke emphasized that this initiative is a humanitarian responsibility, not a political intervention, and called for unity and healing in the state.
