Osimhen Closes in on Yekini's Record at AFCON 2025

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen edges closer to Rashidi Yekini's historic goal record at AFCON 2025, scoring three goals in Nigeria's 4-0 victory against Mozambique in the round of 16 clash. Osimhen's brace at the Complex Sportif de Fès in Morocco helped him reach 34 international goals, just three short of Yekini's long-standing record.

Osimhen, who recently became Nigeria's second all-time top scorer, is focused on helping Nigeria win their fourth AFCON title. The team will face either Algeria or DR Congo in the quarter-finals.
