Victor Osimhen Named Super Eagles Assistant Captain and Penalty Taker

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has been appointed as the new assistant captain and penalty taker for the Nigerian national football team, Super Eagles. He will deputize for the new captain, Wilfred Ndidi.

This leadership shake-up comes after the retirement of erstwhile captain William Troost-Ekong, who designated the penalty taker role to Ndidi. Other senior players like Alex Iwobi and Moses Simon are also part of the team.
