AfDB Urges Stronger Donor Support for Africa's Climate Resilience Efforts

The African Development Bank (AfDB) urges increased donor support to enhance Africa's climate resilience efforts. At the Second Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa, the AfDB emphasized the importance of meeting Africa's growing climate finance needs.

The Africa Climate Change Fund (ACCF) has invested millions in 33 projects over the past 11 years to reinforce climate resilience and mobilize climate finance across the continent. The AfDB Director of Climate Change and Green Growth, Anthony Nyong, highlighted the success of the ACCF and the critical role of donor support in sustaining African climate finance.

The event showcased various projects focusing on policy advancements, grassroots solutions, and gender inclusion to strengthen Africa's climate resilience.
