AFNIS 2026 to Drive Africa's Resource Investment Strategies

Dr. Dele Alake, the Honourable Minister of Solid Minerals Development, stated that the African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS) 2026, scheduled for June 23-25, 2026, in Abuja, will transition to the implementation stage.

This summit aims to shape Africa's future policy and investment decisions in the natural resources and energy sectors. Alake emphasized the need for collaboration among African nations to address challenges and seize opportunities in the resource sector.

He noted that the summit will facilitate direct engagement between governments, investors, and technical experts, focusing on project financing and technological innovation. The event is expected to attract senior government representatives and industry leaders from several African countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Somalia, Liberia, and Mauritania.

The summit aims to create new partnerships and investment opportunities, enhancing Africa's role as a hub for value creation in the resource sector.
