Bwala Links Throat Surgery to Obidient Movement Actions

Daniel Bwala, who serves as the Special Adviser on Political Communication to President Bola Tinubu, disclosed in an interview with journalist Mehdi Hasan that he underwent throat surgery, which he claims was caused by the actions of the Obidient Movement. The interview aired on Al Jazeera's program "60 Minutes." Bwala mentioned that he had the surgery eight days prior to the interview and expressed uncertainty about whether members of the Obidient Movement were responsible for his condition.

He accused the movement of placing political allegiance above national interests and stated that they do not care about the security of Nigeria. Bwala emphasized that the Obidient Movement would do everything possible to achieve their goals, regardless of the cost.

The interview highlighted the contrasting journalistic approach of Hasan, who sought to elicit information that could discredit the government.
