AfriGO and Palmpay Enhance Nigeria's Card Payment System

AfriGO has partnered with Palmpay to enhance the domestic card payment system in Nigeria. This collaboration enables users to request AfriGO cards directly through the Palmpay mobile app, facilitating easier access to card-based payment options.

The AfriGO card is designed to work seamlessly across Nigeria's payment ecosystem, being widely accepted at ATMs, point-of-sale terminals, and online platforms nationwide. Users can request the AfriGO card by logging into the Palmpay app or by visiting one of Palmpay's customer experience centers for personal assistance.

The initiative is supported by Palmpay's network of 500,000 agents across Nigeria, providing guidance throughout the card request process. Ebehiji Momoh, the Integration Managing Director of AfriGO, emphasized the long-term vision of creating a payment ecosystem tailored to Nigeria's realities.

Chika Nwosu, the Integration Managing Director of Palmpay, noted the challenges Nigerians face in accessing reliable card services, highlighting that this partnership aims to remove barriers and ensure full participation in the digital economy.
