Ini Dima-Okojie Welcomes First Child After Fibroid Battle

Actress Ini Dima-Okojie welcomed her first child, a son, on June 24, 2024, which also marked her 36th birthday. She announced the birth on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself cradling her newborn.

Ini Dima-Okojie's journey with fibroids began nearly a decade ago, with her first diagnosis in 2017. Initially, a gynecologist advised her that the fibroids were not a concern, leading her to marry Abasi En Obong in March 2020 without immediate intervention.

However, as the fibroids grew larger, a new doctor recommended surgery, which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She attempted various remedies, including dietary changes and herbal treatments, before undergoing a successful myomectomy in November 2020.

Unfortunately, the relief was short-lived, as fibroids returned by July 2024. Choosing a holistic approach, she made significant lifestyle changes, which led to a successful pregnancy, which she described as a miracle, referencing Jeremiah 1:5.

She encouraged women facing similar struggles to seek regular health checkups.
