TotalEnergies Signals Interest in Nigeria's 2025 Licensing Round After Winning Oil Blocks

TotalEnergies, a French energy major, has shown interest in the 2025 licensing round in Nigeria following its success in acquiring two oil blocks in 2024. The company's President, Nicola Terraz, commended the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) for its transparency during the recent mini bid round.

TotalEnergies, in partnership with South Atlantic Petroleum, signed a production sharing contract for offshore exploration licenses in Nigeria. The company remains optimistic about new opportunities in Nigeria and believes in the reform-driven process of the NUPRC.
