Again, Kwankwaso’s Ally Jibrin Meets Tinubu

Abdulmumin Jibrin, an ally of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, recently met with President Bola Tinubu for the second time in two weeks at the State House. The meeting, held on Sunday night, comes amidst speculation about the All Progressives Congress (APC) sentiment in northern Nigeria regarding the presidency.

While Jibrin did not disclose specific details of the discussion, sources hinted that the talks may have touched on the relationship between Tinubu and Kwankwaso. Jibrin's visit follows a previous meeting on July 30, where the focus was on national unity and development.

When asked if the discussion was linked to a possible defection plan to the APC, Jibrin stated that "everything is open to possibility.".
