TechHerNG Founder Raises Alarm on Gender-Based Violence Targeting Girls in Nigeria

Chioma Agwuegbo, founder of TechHerNG, highlighted the prevalence of gender-based violence targeting girls in Nigeria during a technology-facilitated violence policy roundtable in Abuja. She stressed the necessity for coordinated efforts to address this issue beyond the current situation in Nigeria.

Agwuegbo's organization, TechHerNG, works daily to document and monitor instances of technology-facilitated violence against women and girls. The summit in Abuja aimed to engage various stakeholders, including lawmakers, regulators, law enforcement, and the private sector, to raise awareness and take practical actions to combat online harm against women and girls.
