AIHN Reports N12.83tn OMO and T-bills Sales in 2024 Despite Economic Challenges

The Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria (AIHN) revealed the sale of N12.83 trillion in open market operations (OMO) and treasury bills in 2024, a significant increase from N716.7 billion in 2023. AIHN President Kemi Awodein, during the annual general meeting in Lagos, attributed this growth to government policies and the anticipation of interest rate cuts by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Despite a challenging economic environment, AIHN's financial statement for 2024 showed growth in total funds and income. The association emphasized the resilience of the Nigerian economy, with companies raising capital for mergers, acquisitions, and debt issuances.
