Nigerian Air Force Chief Commends Pilots After Alpha Jet Crash in Niger

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Anek, visited two Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet pilots who successfully ejected from their aircraft after a technical malfunction near the NAF base in Kainji. The jet crashed a few kilometers away from Karabond town in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The pilots are in stable condition and are undergoing medical checks. Air Marshal Anek commended the pilots for their composure and quick actions that prevented casualties.

An inquiry has been initiated to investigate the cause of the incident. The Nigerian Air Force has deployed search and rescue teams, along with medical personnel, to secure the crash site.

The incident highlights the risks associated with military aviation and the importance of adhering to safety protocols.
