Nigerian Customs Grants 4% FOB Waiver to Airlines and Manufacturers

Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has announced a 4% waiver on Free on Board (FOB) charges for airlines, raw material importers, and others. This waiver exempts items like spare parts, manufacturing materials, and government projects, aiming to reduce operational costs for airlines and boost the manufacturing sector.

The waiver, effective immediately, follows consultations with stakeholders like the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). The waiver is part of efforts to support the growth of the aviation and manufacturing sectors in Nigeria.

The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, highlighted the positive impact this waiver will have on the aviation and manufacturing industries.
