Ondo State Governor Approves Establishment of State Secondary Education Board

Ondo State Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa approved the creation of the Ondo State Senior Secondary Education Board (OSSEC) to improve infrastructure and management in secondary schools. The board will collaborate with the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Senior Secondary School Education Commission (NSSEC) to address existing infrastructure deficits.

Prof. Igbekel Ajibefun will lead the new board, focusing on enhancing funding, school management, and infrastructure development.

OSSEC will specifically oversee senior secondary schools from SSS1 to SSS3, distinct from the Universal Basic Education Board (UBEC) managing primary and junior secondary schools.
