Former Senator Akpabio has withdrawn multiple defamation lawsuits against individuals, including Natasha Akpoti and others, after receiving legal advice. The lawsuits, involving high-profile figures like Akpoti and Uduaghan, accused them of tarnishing his reputation.

Akpabio's wife also filed a separate defamation suit against a Kogi Senator. The decision to withdraw the lawsuits was announced in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, bringing an end to the legal disputes.
