Alexx Ekubo's Remains Arrive in Abia for Burial

The remains of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo arrived in Arochukwu, Abia State, in preparation for his burial. Ekubo, who was 40 years old, passed away on May 11, 2026, following a prolonged battle with metastatic kidney cancer.

A service of songs was held in his honor on June 10, 2026, in Lagos, attended by friends, family, and colleagues, including IK Ogbonna. The final burial rites are scheduled to take place over two days, starting with a wake on June 17, 2026, at 7 Ekubo Okwaraek Avenue, Aziukwukwa Ujari Village, Arochukwu.

The funeral service will occur on June 18, 2026, at Mari Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu. Following the interment, a reception for family and guests will be held at the Mari Slessor School premises.
