Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq Celebrates 70 Years of Impact

Dr. Muhammed Alimi AbdulRazaq, who recently turned 70, is recognized for his extensive contributions to justice, scholarship, public service, and philanthropy in Nigeria. Born in Zaria and rooted in Ilorin Emirate, he pursued an impressive academic journey, earning his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Law from the University of Hull.

For nearly five decades, he has been a prominent legal practitioner through A. AbdulRazaq (SAN) & Co., providing counsel to major institutions and advocating for human rights.

As the Founder and First Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Council for Human Rights, he championed justice during Nigeria's military rule. His public service includes serving as Chairman of the National Iron Ore Mining Company, where he implemented critical reforms, and as the pioneer Executive Commissioner for Legal, Licensing and Enforcement at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, where he laid foundational regulatory frameworks for the electricity sector.

Additionally, he founded Bridge House College in Lagos, focusing on quality education for future leaders.
