Labour Party Chieftain in Ebonyi State Takes Legal Action Over Alleged Death Threats

Dr. Emmanuel Ezeh, a former House of Representatives candidate and Labour Party chieftain in Ebonyi State, has filed a fundamental rights enforcement suit in the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.

He alleges receiving death threats from individuals he describes as political enforcers in response to his public commentary on governance and political developments in the state. The suit lists two individuals, Felix Okemini and Sundai Ogbonnia, as respondents.

Ezeh seeks judicial intervention to protect his right to life, liberty, and freedom of expression, opting for legal redress over confrontation. He emphasizes the need for court intervention to affirm the sanctity of fundamental freedoms.
