Court Adjourns Ali Bello's N10bn Fraud Trial to June 2026

The Federal High Court Maitama in Abuja, presided over by Justice Jame Omotosho, has adjourned the trial of Ali Bello and Dauda Sulaiman until June 2, 2026. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is prosecuting Ali Bello, who is the nephew of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, alongside Dauda Sulaiman.

The case involves 16 counts of alleged misappropriation and money laundering, linked to a total of N10.27 billion. On the previous court date, the 17th prosecution witness, AHM Audu Abubakar, was cross-examined by defense counsel M.

Aliyu SAN regarding transactions tied to the purchase of several properties in Abuja, including locations such as No. 35 Danub Street and Plot 1773 Guzap, among others. The court proceedings will continue on the newly scheduled date.
