The Alternative Bank Wins Awards for Social Impact

The Alternative Bank has been recognized for its efforts in advancing inclusive finance and social impact, receiving two significant awards. The bank was awarded the Champion of Sustainable Development Award at the Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2026 Impact Capital Dinner in Lagos.

Additionally, it received the Distinguished Humanitarian Partnership Award from the National Association of Nigerian Visually Impaired Students (NANVIS) during the association’s 20th anniversary celebration at the University of Lagos. Both awards emphasize the importance of sustainable development, which relies on broader economic participation beyond mere access to capital.

Korede Demola-Adeniyi, Executive Director of Commercial and Institutional Banking for Lagos and South-west, stated that inclusive finance is crucial for long-term economic progress.
