AMCON CEO Gbenga Alade Wins African Business Award

Mr. Gbenga Alade, the Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), was honored with the African Business Leadership Special Commend Award at the 16th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) ceremony.

This event occurred on July 3, 2026, at the House of Lords in Westminster, London, organized by the African Leadership Organization. Alade was inducted into the prestigious African Leadership Council (ALC) during the ceremony, which featured an address from Senator Hope Uzodinma, representing the Governor of Imo State.

The award recognizes Alade's significant contributions to the business sector and his leadership within Africa's financial management ecosystem. Notable figures who have previously received this award include H.E.

Julius Maada Bio, President of Sierra Leone, and H.E. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank.
