Millions Protest Trump’s Immigration Policies Nationwide

On a Saturday in October, approximately 7 million Americans participated in mass protests across major cities, expressing their opposition to President Donald Trump's immigration policies and the Iran war. The protests, dubbed "No Kings," were organized to resist what participants viewed as authoritarian governance.

Major gatherings occurred in cities like Minnesota, where prominent Democratic politicians addressed the crowd, and New York City, where around 100,000 people filled Times Square. American musician Bruce Springsteen performed an anti-immigration enforcement song, energizing demonstrators.

The protests also extended to smaller towns, with around 10,000 residents in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Howell, Michigan, participating. In Washington D.C., demonstrators marched to the Lincoln Memorial, carrying signs against the Iran war and immigration policies.

A White House spokesperson dismissed the protests as meaningless, while critics warned that Trump's actions, including deploying National Guard troops, threatened constitutional principles and democratic institutions.
